CURRENT

"A Transnational Diaspora: Stories of International Adoption" / I am currently designing a long-term project focused on sharing the stories of the adoptees, birth parents, and adoptive parents involved in international adoption. The goal of this project is to bring conversations about international adoption and the resulting diaspora communities into the public sphere, and to foster a strong transnational community amongst adoptees, parents, and associated countries. Current focus countries: USA, South Korea, Sweden

PAST

China 2016 / In August to September of 2016, I traveled alone to China and traced my adoption story throughout major cities to my birth city. I wrote up my trip in a series of personal and photo essays, including my experiences arriving in China for the first time, meeting birth parents searching for their daughters, and navigating the country.
